Off-the-shelf membrane systems often fail to account for specific feed water chemistry and hydraulic balance.

Standard skids often suffer from hydraulic imbalances, leading to telescoping and premature fouling of lead elements.

Without proper antiscalant dosing logic and cross-flow velocity modeling, membranes scale rapidly with divalent salts.

Poorly welded pipework and inadequate support structures lead to vibration fatigue and leaks under high-pressure operation.

Introducing Nanofiltration:
A Smarter Separation Technology

Nanofiltration (NF) is the "Goldilocks" of membrane technology—positioned perfectly between Ultrafiltration and Reverse Osmosis.

While RO removes almost everything and UF lets dissolved solids pass, NF is engineered to be highly selective. It targets divalent ions (like Calcium and Magnesium) and organics, while allowing smaller, benign monovalent ions to pass through.

This unique capability makes it the ultimate solution for water softening, pesticide removal, and process water treatment where total demineralization is unnecessary and inefficient.

How Nanofiltration Works

Nanofiltration membranes feature a pore size of approximately 0.001 microns (10 Angstroms). This microscopic barrier acts as a selective sieve driven by pressure.

    Water is pumped across the membrane surface at moderate pressure (3.5–16 bar).

    Rejection

    The membrane rejects divalent ions (like Ca²⁺, Mg²⁺, SO₄²⁻) and organic molecules >200 Daltons.

    Passage

    Monovalent ions (like Na⁺, Cl⁻) pass through more freely, resulting in treated water that is not "dead" but chemically stable.
